Workshop Outline
In this workshop you will get to experience (smell, touch, use) a large number of plant and seed oils including: avocado, raspberry seed, rosehip, apricot kernel, sea buckthorn fruit, borage seed, pumpkin seed, pomegranate seed and infused herbal oils (calendula, lavender, chamomile, rose). These will then be incorporated into the personalised skincare products that you will create.
You will also get to experiment with a number of different botanical powders (calendula, chamomile, nettles, rose, marshmallow, raspberry, strawberry, apple) and other natural ingredients such as clays, salts and essential oils.
Using a combination of oils, botanical powders, clays, essential oils and other natural products you will make skincare products personalised to your skin and your taste. You will get to make and take home the following products: facial oil, clay mask, facial scrub, body scrub and body oil.
A delicious morning tea from the garden will also be provided.

"The first workshop I did was the Botanical Skin care one. It was in winter (I think) so we didn't venture into your garden this time. You shared a vast amount of your knowledge about all the plant oils. We got to try them on our skin so that we could choose which ones we liked the feel and /or smell of and their effect on our skin. This part of the workshop on its own, was an amazing amount of information that I now feel I have, especially with the detailed handouts you gave us to take away. There's nothing like 'hands on" to help retain new knowledge. Then we proceeded to choose ingredients to use in recipes (which we got to keep) for various products like, facial oils, body scrubs and clay masks. We made these gorgeous luxurious products right there in your kitchen. Everything was laid out for us to be able to do this easily. We ended up with a beautiful bag of goodies to take away. It was like a party bag of gifts for ourselves. We came away with all we needed to be able to continue to make our own beautiful botanical skin care products. Cathy shares all her knowledge so generously. She doesn't keep any secrets about how to do all that she does, for yourself. We also had a continuous supply of Cathy's amazing herbal teas and herbal pesto's and crackers to keep us energized. We got to know some other great people and I went away looking forward to using my new products and eagerly planning to return for more workshops."
